Day 521 | Write

Call me a bit nostalgic, but I’m tickled pink each time I open my mailbox to find an envelope that doesn’t resemble a cell phone bill or donation solicitation.  In this age of mobility and information, most people spend the bulk of their workday drafting emails and communicating via Twitter and Facebook, which allows minimal time for the lost art of creating a long, flowing, hand-written letter.  In an effort to combat that very notion from falling by the wayside entirely, the beau and I hold onto the tradition of writing (not simply signing) handwritten cards for each other in celebration of life’s major milestones like birthdays, anniversaries and special holidays.  And while I’ve always enjoyed writing thank you letters and love notes to friends and family, pretty stationery, relaxing latte breaks and sweet cards that read “You + Me = Greatness” (perfect for our upcoming four-year anniversary) makes the process so much more delightful.
