Short weeks are always lovely and this one was especially enjoyable.  With not one meal prepared at home, we diffused the humid evenings by dining al fresco, sprawling on the beach at sunset and playing a fun round of sand volleyball with friends.  Since my levels of productivity were a bit skewed over the past few days, I’m looking forward to early work mornings and a more balanced (and healthful) schedule next week (did I really need to imbibe three birthday cupcakes?).  Until then, I’m continuing my relaxation mode through this weekend’s little jaunt to California, where early morning beach runs and refreshing summer cocktails will certainly find space on my calendar.
